LONDON SMASH CROWNED 2026 CANADIAN NATIONAL PICKLEBALL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS
Waterloo, Ontario - September 27, 2026 - London Smash has captured the 2026 Canadian National Pickleball League Championship, completing a remarkable season that saw the team establish itself as one of the premier organizations in the CNPL.

Entering Championship Weekend after finishing the regular season at the top of the standings, London Smash carried the momentum of an outstanding year into Waterloo and delivered when it mattered most.
After advancing through the playoff rounds, London Smash earned its place in the CNPL Championship Final and completed its mission by defeating United to claim the 2026 title.
The championship caps an extraordinary season for London Smash, which included winning the CNPL Mid-Season Championship, finishing first at the Central Split in London, capturing first place at the Vancouver Split, securing a first-round playoff
bye, and ultimately raising the championship trophy in Waterloo.

“This championship means so much because of the people who made it happen,” said Ed Sater, Owner and Manager of London Smash.
“This season required sacrifice, trust and an incredible commitment to the team. There were difficult decisions, changing roles and moments when individual wants had to take a back seat to what was best for London Smash. Every player bought into something bigger than themselves, and that is what made this group so special.”

Throughout the season, London Smash demonstrated exceptional depth, resilience and chemistry, with players continually embracing different roles and competing for one another.
The championship roster featured Ryan Torresin, Anne-Sophie Courteau, Aibika Kalsarieva, Lucas Wong , Sophia Racine, with every member contributing to the team’s championship journey.
Championship Weekend also brought additional recognition to the organization. Sater was named the 2026 CNPL Owner/Manager of the Year, while team captain Ryan Torresin received the Players’ Choice Award, voted on by his peers across the league.

“Individual awards are incredibly meaningful, but this championship belongs to the entire team,” Sater added. “What I will remember most is how this group came together. They trusted each other, fought for each other and understood that this was never about one player. It was about London Smash.”
The victory represents another major milestone for the London Smash organization and for the growing pickleball community in London, Ontario.
London Smash now closes the 2026 season with the title it pursued from the beginning:
